Post-Doc Position (Salary Scale 13 TV-L)
The University of Konstanz, with its "Institutional Strategy to promote Top-Level Research", has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.
The newly funded SFB/Transregio 161 "Quantitative Methods for Visual Computing" focusses on computational methods for image-based representation of information with the goal to provide measures for the quality and applicability of visual data and related algorithms of visual computing.
We are looking to fill a
Post-Doc Position
(Salary Scale 13 TV-L)
in the SFB/TRR, work group Prof. Dr. Oliver Deussen, http://www.graphics.uni-konstanz.de , starting at the next possible date. The work contracts will be for an initial period of 24 months and can be prolonged up to June 2019. In principle, this position can be divided into two half-time positions.
Tasks:
Research in Uncertainty Visualization and Quantification (Project A01) jointly supervised by Prof. Dr. Daniel Weiskopf, TU Stuttgart
Cooperation with Project A04 on Quantification in Non-Photorealistic Rendering
Requirements:
PhD in Computer Graphics or Scientific/ Information Visualization
Strong background in Computer Science and Mathematics
