in dielectric elastomer ultrasonic transducer development

The Mads Clausen Institute at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a postdoc position within the field of dielectric elastomers. The postdoc is part of a Proof of Concept project with Siemens A/S, Flow Instruments as the industrial partner. The position is available as of February 1, 2015 for a one-year period.

We offer a challenging position in an international and stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure for ultrasonic transducer characterization and an excellent opportunity for collaboration both within SDU and with renowned international research groups.

The successful applicant should have

A PhD degree (or equivalent) within physics, engineering or a related topic
A strong background in handling dielectric elastomer materials
Some competences within theoretical description of dielectric elastomer materials and/or acoustic signals.
A strong academic record
Good collaboration and communication skills
