Assistant Professor, Postdoc, Tenure Track in Auditing, financial accounting and operations management - 738365

Assistant Professor - Auditing, financial accounting and operations management Aarhus BSS Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University, invites applications for a number of assistant professorships and post doc fellowships in auditing, accounting and operations management starting from 1 September 2015 or later. The department is especially looking for faculty within financial accounting. Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree before taking up the position. Major responsibilities include teaching of BSc, MSc and PhD students in auditing, accounting and operation management, and research within one of these this fields. Lectures etc. may be given in English. Research and teaching at the Department of Economics and Business Economics focus on theory and applications within accounting, finance, operations management, business performance, macroeconomics, microeconomics, behavioural economics, and econometrics.

The assistant professorships can be time-unlimited, tenure-track positions (with 4-5 years to the tenure review) or time-limited positions (3-4 years). The post doc fellowships are two-year positions. Research facilities, time to devote to research, travel support, etc., are excellent at the department. For non-Danish researchers, favourable tax-schemes may exist. The Department is host to several internationally renowned research centres and research groups providing an active research environment with amble influx of visiting fellows.

The Department of Economics and Business Economics services several undergraduate and graduate level programmes including programmes in Economics and Business Administration (HA/merc), Economics and Management (oecon), Public Policy, Math Econ, and the schools MBA programmes. The PhD programme has an annual intake of around 20-25 students and, currently, the number of PhD students in Economics and Business Economics is about 75.
