Cholesterol Metabolism in the Brain

The project addresses the role of mitochondrial cholesterol homeostasis in neuronal function and neurodegenerative disease. The position is grant-paid, initially for two years, with a possible extension to three years. Successful candidates must hold a recent Doctoral Degree in biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, or molecular neuroscience, be highly motivated, and have adequate fluency in written and spoken English. Experience in lipid metabolism, mitochondrial function and/or fluorescence imaging is an asset. Dalhousie University is the largest university on Canada’s east coast and offers a vibrant and diverse research environment.
