Postdoctoral fellow (f/m)
Topic: RADIOMICS − Big data analysis of medical imaging information for radiotherapy outcome prediction
The salary is according to the TV-L dispositions. Contract is first limited to 2 years, subject to funding.
OncoRay is currently setting up a project group for Radiomics research that will closely collaborate with different OncoRay research groups in the field of medical physics, medical imaging and clinical radiation oncology. The postholder will be responsible for the scientific design and realization of the project. The successful candidate will set up a Radiomics analysis for multi-modality imaging data (CT, Dual-Energy CT and PET) including definition of imaging parameters, development and implementation of data-mining algorithms as well as the evaluation of results concerning prediction of radiotherapy outcome. The qualified applicant will publish scientific results in high-ranking journals and present them at international conferences. The individual will also be responsible for the supervision of PhD students and Master students.
Your profile:
PhD degree in medical physics, computer science, applied mathematics or a closely related field
Experience with large scale data analysis, ideally in the field of medical image analysis (Radiomics)
Experience with state-of-the-art statistics, data mining and machine learning approaches for high-dimensional data analysis
excellent programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB
Interest in Medical Physics and Medical Imaging
ability to work within a large group of motivated interdisciplinary professionals. High motivation, self-reliance and preciseness
excellent communication skills in English
